国际艺术学院简介
国际艺术学院创建于2000年，涵盖了美术学、设计学、音乐学三大学科领域，设有美术学、服装与服饰设计、视觉传达设计、环境设计、音乐学5个本科专业，在校本科生近700人；2014年获批艺术硕士专业学位授予权，2015年开始招生。2016年服装与服饰设计专业被批准为“辽宁省本科高校向应用型转变试点专业”。学院本着以“培养具有较强的艺术设计、美术创作、美术研究能力与广泛国际艺术交流能力的复合型、应用型艺术专业人才”为目标，为社会输送了大批优秀艺术人才。
国际艺术学院拥有一支学缘结构合理、学术水平较高、治学态度严谨、教学经验丰富的师资队伍。现有专任教师共45名，其中教授5名，副教授15名，讲师25名,硕士生导师11名，博士3名，博士在读3名，专职实验员3名。骨干教师的科研成果在国内外重展赛中多次获得中国美术奖提名作品奖等奖项以及国家艺术基金项目。学院具有良好的现代化教学环境，拥有美术馆、图书资料室、标准天光画室、多媒体教室、语音室、多功能综合实验室和计算机辅助教学实验室，高端实践教学设备齐全。国际艺术学院综合实验室被评为2013年度辽宁省普通本科高等学校实验教学示范中心。
国际艺术学院一直坚持特色学科体系的发展方向，以专业工作室教学为平台、以“坚实基础、拓宽视野、艺用外语、创新实践”为培养原则、推行“作业变作品，作品变产品”的教学理念，大力拓展边缘学科专业交叉，注重学生外语能力、创新能力、实践能力的培养。部分学生考入莫斯科工艺美术大学、意大利米兰布雷拉美术学院、英国伯恩茅斯艺术大学、中央美术学院、中国美术学院、鲁迅美术学院、上海大学美术学院等国内知名艺术院校的研究生。学院正逐步完善“3+1”“2+2”“2+1+1”等国内外合作的人才培养模式，部分学生在校就读期间可在国内、国外分段接受教学服务，使学生的知识结构能够兼容东西方文化的深厚内涵，了解和把握国际艺术领域的发展动态和最新信息，部分学生在毕业后选择前往英国、法国、美国、日本等国留学深造。为服务于社会发展趋于国际化的人才需求，我院注重实践教学的开展，与多家知名企业和学术机构签订联合培养及实习实践协议，培养了大批与时代同步的复合型、应用型、具有国际视野的高层次艺术专业人才，得到社会各界的高度评价。
本科学制四年，毕业成绩合格授予文学学士学位；研究生学制三年,毕业成绩合格授予艺术硕士学位。
A Brief Introduction to the International School of Arts
Founded in 2000, the International School of Arts (IAA) covers Fine Arts, Design Science, and Musicology disciplinary fields, offers 5 undergraduate programs including Fine Arts, Clothing and Fashion Design, Visual Communication Design, Environment Design and Musicology. IAA has an enrollment of about 700 undergraduates. The academy was also authorized to offer a master’s degree (MFA) in 2014 and began to recruit students in 2015. In 2016, Clothing and Fashion Design was approved as the Experimental Specialty of Liaoning Undergraduate Universities for Application-Oriented Transition. The academy has been aiming at cultivating inter-disciplinary and application-oriented art talents with great capabilities for art design, creativity and research, as well as international art communication. IAA has delivered into society great quantities of excellent art talents in the past 20 years.
IAA has a faculty team with reasonable education-related structure, high scholarship level, rigorous academic attitude and rich teaching experience. It has 45 faculty members, including 5 professors, 15 associate professors, 25 lecturers, 11 Master's supervisors, 3 Doctors, 3 Doctoral Candidates, and 3 full-time experimenters. The research achievements of core faculty members have won a number of awards such as China Art Award Nomination Works Award and National Art Fund Project in the exhibition competition at home and abroad. The academy possesses great modernized teaching environment with art gallery, library reference room, standard skylight atelier, multimedia classrooms, language labs, multi-functional comprehensive laboratory and computer-assisted instruction laboratory. High-end practice teaching equipment is well-appointed. IAA Comprehensive Laboratory was entitled as 2013 Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center of Liaoning Regular Undergraduate Institutions of Higher Education.
IAA has been keeping its development direction of featured disciplinary system and taking professional studio teaching as the platform. In the consistent pursuit on the cultivation principles of consolidating foundation, broadening horizon, instructing foreign languages for art and innovating practice. In addition, the academy carries out the teaching idea of “homework turns into work, work turns into product”, it greatly expands cross-disciplinary subjects, and lays emphasis on cultivating foreign language aptitude, innovation capability and practical ability. A part of undergraduates have been admitted into postgraduate programs of Moscow University of Arts and Crafts, Milan Brera Academy of Fine Arts at Italy, Arts University Bournemouth at England, Central Academy of Fine Arts at China, China Academy of Art, Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts, Shanghai University Academy of Fine Arts and other well-known art institutions at home and abroad. IAA is progressively improving and perfecting “3+1” “2+2” “2+1+1” talent cultivation mode with domestic and international cooperation. During the undergraduate period, a part of students can receive teaching services dividedly at home and abroad, which enables their knowledge structure to be compatible with the profound connotation of both eastern and western cultures, and enables them to learn and grasp the development trend and latest information in international art field. A part of students choose to go to the UK, France, the USA and Japan for further study after graduation. In order to serve for the talent demand of increasingly international society development, IAA emphasizes to carry out practical teaching, signing joint training and social practice agreements with many well-known enterprises and academic institutions. The academy has cultivated a large number of inter-disciplinary and application-oriented high-level art professionals who keep pace with the times and have international vision, receiving high evaluation from various sectors of society.
Four years of undergraduate study, Bachelor of Arts degree (BA) is conferred under the condition of qualified graduation result. Three years of postgraduate study, Master of Fine Arts degree (MFA) is conferred under the condition of qualified graduation result.
