国际艺术学院专业介绍

 

美术学专业

 

    美术学专业于2011年成立,本专业拥有一支素质好、学历高、业务精、能力强、爱岗敬业的师资队伍。现有专任教师8名,教授1名,副教授3名,讲师4名,其中硕士毕业6名,硕士生导师3名;本专业教师分别毕业于乌克兰哈尔科夫美术学院、法国佩皮尼昂大学、中央美术学院、清华大学美术学院、鲁迅美术学院、广西艺术学院等国内外知名艺术院校。

 

    美术学专业在学校总体培养目标指导下,培养以掌握美术学理论、知识和技能,同时能熟练地掌握外语进行国际艺术交流,具有开拓创新精神,集“史、论、造、学、用”为一身的复合型、应用型艺术专业人才。毕业后可在艺术教育、博物馆、美术馆、职业艺术家、美术批判、艺术策展、美术出版与编辑、艺术媒体、艺术管理、画廊、拍卖行等艺术相关领域就业。

 

    美术学专业开设的主要课程有实验素描、实验色彩、油画静物、油画肖像、主题油画创作、油画风景写生、人体写生、雕塑、实验艺术(综合材料)、创意思维新媒体艺术、中国美术史、西方美术史、透视与解剖学、艺术概论、毕业创作。本专业旨在培养学生具备美术创作的能力与美术学理论研究的能力。

 

 

服装与服饰设计专业

 

    服装与服饰设计专业旨在培养学生服装与服饰设计和制作能力、较强的市场设计意识和竞争能力,以及对时尚潮流的把握与对流行趋势的预测能力。同时,兼具对服装与服饰设计相关专业信息的国际交流与互递的艺术专业外语应用能力。毕业后,学生既可以在服装艺术设计、制版、营销、买手等领域就业,又可继续进行学业深造,未来成为服装科研、教育、管理等领域的应用型、研究复合型人才。要求学生掌握全面系统的服装服饰设计理论知识与实践应用能力,具有较强的创新意识和开拓精神,外语能力达到对外专业交流的要求。

 

   主要开设的课程有:服装画技法、服饰配色设计、服饰图案设计、服装设计、立体剪裁、面料再造、下装结构与工艺、上装结构与工艺、女装结构与工艺、男装结构与工艺、服装CAD、中国服装史、西洋服装史、服装材料学、服装品牌管理、服装市场营销、毕业设计等。

 

    服装与服饰设计专业教师现有教授1名,副教授5名,讲师1名,外聘高级工程师1名。其中博士1名、博士在读1名、硕士2名, 2人毕业于国外专业艺术院校。2016年,本专业被批准为“辽宁省本科高校向应用型转变试点专业”,与服装行业、企业合作建立多家校外实践教学基地,达到具有服装专业素养的应用型人才培养目的。多年来,本专业教师指导学生参加国内多项顶级服装赛事,取得了优秀的成绩。毕业生就业去向主要有考取国内服装院校硕士研究生、出国留学深造、服装设计行业工作或其它相关艺术领域从业等。

 

 

视觉传达设计专业

 

    视觉传达设计专业重点培养国际设计视野与中国文化意蕴兼具,且与社会发展需求相适应的视觉传达设计实用型人才。通过学习,学生不仅能熟练运用多种视觉媒介进行信息传达的创意设计,同时还为未来的自主发展创造了多元化空间。学生毕业后适合在专业设计公司、企事业单位的宣传策划部门或者电视台、杂志社、大型网站等媒体机构的设计部门从事设计工作,也可以在各级各类专业院校从事教学工作,更可以自主创业,独立从事艺术设计与创作。

 

    本科学习期间帮助学生系统构建本专业所需要的知识结构,使其拥有较高的文化艺术素养和敏锐的专业洞察力。课程设置重点关注学生设计潜能的开发以及实践操作技能的培养,不断强化学生的创新思维能力、计算机应用能力、自主学习能力和外语沟通能力,同时引导学生能够根据社会需求,灵活寻求发展,提高在视觉传达设计领域的独立拓展能力。

 

    本专业拥有较强的师资力量,拥有教授2名、副教授2名、讲师3名,其中,具有硕士研究生学历教师6名。本专业设置专业课程30门以上,课程设置灵活。学校的创业孵化基地建设、各系之间的跨专业交流都为学生综合素质的提高提供了可能,在校期间学生可以自愿组成跨学科创业小组,在交叉领域学习管理和设计实训。

 

    灵活的教学体系和社会的旺盛需求,使本专业在大中城市一直有很好的就业态势,开放多元的教学思想也决定了本专业具有较高的社会适应性。十七年来,视觉传达设计专业培养了大批遍布全国的优秀毕业生以及走出国门继续深造的学生。

 

    主要课程:字体设计、版面设计、 Photoshop应用与提高、矢量绘图创意应用、图形想象、手绘创意表达、标志设计、型录设计、包装应用设计、系列招贴设计、商业动画设计、影视后期编辑技术、展示设计、毕业设计等。

 

 

环境设计专业

 

    环境设计专业是以艺术学科与外语学科交叉互补的特色学科教学体系为基础,依托我校的外语教学优势,培养适应社会发展需要、具有一定的专业外语沟通能力、综合实践能力及较扎实的专业基础的环境设计专业复合型、应用型创新人才。

 

    本专业培养学生具有较系统的专业基础理论知识,良好的环境整体设计意识和综合的审美素质,掌握系统设计的方法与技能并具有创造性思维和综合表达的能力。通过对设计典型范例的教学,掌握室内空间造型、界面装修设计、空间形态设计、景观构成要素及陈设艺术设计等基本方法,确立完整的空间与尺度概念,提高学生合理运用材料与工艺的能力、对环境景观的综合判断分析能力和设计实施管理能力。

 

    近年来,毕业生就业去向主要有考取艺术设计院校硕士研究生、出国留学深造、担任中等院校的教学工作,在企事业单位或设计部门从事建筑、装饰、景观、工程管理等相关专业领域的设计及设计管理工作。

 

    主要课程:手绘表现与透视、设计思维与表达、计算机辅助设计、居室设计、办公空间设计、商业空间设计、展示设计、建筑设计(别墅设计)、装饰材料构造及施工、广场景观设计、建筑小环境设计、室内设计程序与管理、毕业设计等。

 

 

产品设计专业

 

    产品设计专业是国际艺术学院的新建专业,现有专业教师5名。 2013年成立以来,学校每年都为新建学科投入资金扶持新专业发展。产品设计专业依托区域经济发展、共享校院两级办学资源,在专业建设、人才培养模式方面起点高,在教学实践过程中逐渐形成自己国际化的特色。目前,在职专业教师的学缘结构合理,社会实践成果丰富。校内专业教学课程涵盖了产品设计的基础理论和设计实践两部分,旨在培养一专多能、兼具设计创新思维意识和实践能力的国际化、复合应用型专业设计人才。

   

    产品设计专业的人才培养,在适应市场需求方面更加注重专业知识及实践能力的掌握,并通过课内与课外、理论与实践的课程形式,构建相互交叉、融合、渗透的一体化教学体系,加之配套良好的硬件设备,为优秀的专业人才培养提供了保障。

 

    产品设计方法学、人机工程学、材料与工艺学构成专业学科体系,其专业核心课程包括设计基础、设计史论、机械制图、人体工程学、设计表达、模型制作、感性工学、材料与加工技术、工业设计与工程基础、系统设计、交互设计、及毕业设计等。专业主要实践性教学环节按专业方向,将专业核心课程与实践教学内容密切地联系在一起,进行产品策划、设计、模型制作、完成产品设计报告书等实践课题教学。专业实践教学主要在我院实验室、产品设计公司、科研单位及相关生产企业进行。

 

 

音乐学专业

 

    音乐学专业成立于2005年,现设有声乐、钢琴、民族器乐、电脑音乐制作等专业主修方向。音乐学专业致力于“专业教学、艺术表演、社会实践”于一体的人才培养模式,依托学校在外语教学及国际化办学方面的优势,着力推进专业与外语的融合,全面培养具有一专多能的应用型音乐人才。

 

    音乐学专业现有学术水平较高的学术带头人,较强的师资力量和结构合理的学术梯队。现有专职教师12人(副教授3人、讲师8人、助教1人;博士2人、在读博士2人、硕士8人),外聘专业教师约5余名。

 

    音乐学专业是以“音乐+外语”(音乐结合外语的教学模式)和“2+2”联合办学(即学生一、二年级在大连外国语大学学习;三、四年级赴国外大学学习,双方互认学分,达到两校本科阶段学习要求的学生,将获得国内外两校的毕业证书和学士学位证书)相结合的模式,不断拓宽国际化办学渠道,迄今已与国外多所学校建立了校际交流关系。

 

    音乐学专业借助我校在国外开办的多所孔子学院大好平台,多次受教育部对外汉语教学发展中心委派,先后出访韩国、日本、俄罗斯、白俄罗斯、阿联酋、土耳其、哥伦比亚、秘鲁、巴西、泰国、圭亚那、巴拿马等国家进行巡演,并受到热烈欢迎和好评。

 

研究生部


    我院2014年获批艺术硕士专业学位授予权,艺术硕士专业学位(MFA)研究生教育正式落户大连外国语大学国际艺术学,2015年9月迎来第一批艺术硕士研究生,其涉及的美术和艺术设计两大领域涵盖了油画、雕塑、视觉传达设计、环境艺术设计、服装与服饰设计、产品设计等6个方向,我院现有硕士研究生导师15人,在读研究生27人,2018年完成的“MFA研究生个性化培养教学实践中心建设”项目解决了艺术硕士研究生教学及科研实践的硬件需求,设备完善功能齐全的研究生创意工作室为我们培养高层次艺术创作及艺术设计的应用型人才提供了可靠的保证。在5年的教学探索过程中,我院全体师生携手并进潜心钻研,在一次次创作实践中实现了专业技能和内在素养的双赢,师生作品多次在国内外专业比赛中崭露头角,科研成果的数量和质量逐年攀升,教学中期展和毕业展更全面展示了我校艺术硕士的教学成果。


    随着艺术硕士教学规模的日渐扩大,我们有信心在研究生教学中不断拓展思路,寻找可持续提升的空间和方向,从而带动我校艺术硕士专业学位研究生教育体系的逐步完善和发展。

Introduction to Fine Arts


Established in 2011, Fine Arts Major has a faculty team with high quality, high diploma, vocational proficiency, strong ability and dedication to teaching. The major now has 8 full-time faculty members, 1 professor, 3 associate professors, 4 lecturers, 6 Masters, 3 Master's supervisors. Faculty members graduated respectively from Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts in Ukraine, University of Bolton in Britain, University of Perpignan in France, China Central Academy of Fine Arts, Academy of Arts & Design of Tsinghua University, LuXun Academy of Fine Arts, Guangxi Art College and other famous domestic and international art academies.


Under the guidance of university’s overall cultivation objective, Fine Arts Major aims to cultivate inter-disciplinary and application-oriented art professionals who master fine arts theory, knowledge and skills, who meanwhile have a good command of foreign languages for international art communication, who have pioneering spirit and who combine History, Theory, Creativity, Learning, Application as one. After graduation, students can engage in such art-related fields as art education, museum, art gallery, professional artists, art criticism, art exhibition, art publishing and editing, art media, art management, gallery, auction house, etc.


Main courses in Fine Arts Major include Experimental Sketch, Experimental Color, Oil Painting of Still Objects, Oil Painting Portraits, Thematic Oil Painting Creation, Landscape Oil Painting, Body Sketching, Sculpture, Experimental Art (comprehensive materials), Creative Thinking, New Media Art, Chinese Art History, Western Art History, Perspective and Anatomy, Generality to Art, Graduation Creation. This major is aimed at cultivating artistic creation capability and fine arts theory study ability.




Introduction to Clothing and Fashion Design


The major of Clothing and Fashion Design is aimed to cultivating the ability of Fashion design and making, having strong fashion marketing awareness and competitive advantages, and also can grasp and predict fashion trends. Meanwhile, attention is also given to application ability of art specialty foreign language for international communication in Fashion Design-related specialty information. Upon graduation, students can either work in fields like fashion design, apparel technology, fashion marketing and fashion buyer, or pursue further academic study to become interdisciplinary and applicable talents in clothing scientific research, education and management fields in the future. This major requires students to grasp comprehensive and systematical garment design theory knowledge and practice application ability, to possess strong innovation awareness and pioneering spirit, to have foreignlanguage ability that meets the requirement of external specialty communication.


Main courses are Clothing-painting Techniques, Clothing Color Matching Design, Clothing Pattern Design, Costume Design, Stereo Cutting, Recreation of Textile, Bottom Structure and Technology, Top Structure and Technology, Suit-dress Structure and Technology, Men’s Clothing Structure and Technology, Garment CAD, Chinese Clothing History, Western Clothing History, Clothing Materials, Clothing Brand Management, Clothing Marketing, Graduation Design, etc.


Currently we have 8 faculty members, 1 professor, 5 associate professors, 1 lecturer, 1 external senior engineer. They had already received 1 Doctor, 1 Doctoral Candidates, and 2 Masters Degrees, two of whom had oversea study experiences. In the year of 2016, Fashion Design Major was approved as the Experimental Specialty of Liaoning Undergraduate Universities for Application-Oriented Transition. The specialty has established several off-campus practice teaching bases with garment industries and enterprises, obtaining the goal of cultivating application-oriented talents with professional quality in Fashion Design. Over the years, faculty members have instructed students in many top domestic fashion contests and achieved excellent results. After graduation, graduates mainly go to domestic garment colleges for postgraduate study, go abroad for further study or work in fashion design field or other related art fields.




Introduction to Visual Communication Design


Visual Communication Design Major focuses on cultivating applicable talents in visual communication design with both international design vision and Chinese culture implication, who also adapt to social development needs. Through the study, students can not only be skilled in applying a variety of visual media to carry out the creative design of information communication, but also create diversified space for future independent development in the meantime. After graduation, students are suited to engage in design work in professional design company, publicity planning department of enterprises and institutions, or design department of TV stations, magazines, large websites and other media organizations. They can also teach in colleges and universities of various levels, or become self-employed, independently engaged in art design and creation.


During undergraduate period, this major helps students build up the required knowledge structure, enabling them to obtain high cultural and artistic appreciation and keen professional insight. The curriculum focuses on developing design potentials and training practical operation skills, enhancing creative thinking ability, computer application ability, independent learning ability and foreign language communication ability. Meanwhile, students are guided to seek flexible development and improve independent extending capability in visual communication design according to social needs.


Faculty teacher of this major has high quality. The major now has 7full-time faculty members, 2 professors, 2 associate professors, 3 lecturers, with 6 Masters, 1 Master's supervisor. There are over 30 courses with flexible curricular arrangement. Entrepreneurship incubation base construction and interdisciplinary communication between collegial departments provide students with the possibility to improve overall quality. Students can voluntarily form interdisciplinary start-up teams, learning management and design training in cross-disciplinary fields. Due to flexible teaching system and great social needs, the employment situation in large and medium-sized cities is promising. Strong social adaptability is made possible by open and diversified teaching ideas. In the past 17 years, Visual Communication Design has cultivated a large number of outstanding graduates nationwide and abroad.

Introduction to Environment Design


Based on the featured disciplinary teaching system with the intersection of art and foreign language, Environment Design Major relies on the advantage of foreign language teaching. It aims to cultivate interdisciplinary and applicable innovative talents who adapt to social development needs, have professional foreign language communication skills, comprehensive practice ability and solid specialty foundation.


Students are cultivated to have systematic basic theory knowledge, great overall environment design awareness and comprehensive aesthetic appreciation. The major provides students with systematic design methods and skills as well as creative thinking and comprehensive expression abilities. Through the teaching of typical design examples, students grasp basic methods of interior space modeling, interface decoration design, spatial shape design, landscape elements and furnishing design. Students will establish a complete concept of space and scale, improving their abilities to reasonably apply the materials and techniques, to comprehensively analyze environmental landscape and to manage design implementation.


In recent years, graduates chiefly go to art design colleges for postgraduate study, go overseas for further study, teach in secondary schools and engage in design and design management of architecture, decoration, landscape, engineering management and other related professional fields in enterprises and institutions or design departments.

Introduction to Product Design


Product Design Major is a newly-established specialty of the International Academy of Art. There are 5 teachers in the major. Since its establishment in 2013, the university has been investing funds annually in the newly-built discipline to support its development. Product Design relies on regional economic development, sharing the educational resources of both academy and university. It has a high starting point in specialty construction and talent cultivation mode, gradually forming its own international features in the process of teaching practice. At present, in-service faculty possess reasonable education-related structure and abundant social practice achievements. The on-campus specialty curriculum covers both basic theory and design practice of product design. It aims to cultivate professional design talents who are international, applicable and interdisciplinary with multiple application capability, creative thinking awareness and practical designing ability.


In adapting to market demand, talent cultivation in Product Design pays more attention to professional knowledge and practical ability. Meanwhile, by means of in-class and extracurricular, theoretical and practical curricular forms, it sets up a unified teaching system which is interdisciplinary, integrated, and infiltrated with one another. Well-appointed hardware equipment offers another guarantee for outstanding professional talent cultivation. The major now has 5 faculty members, 1 associate professor, 4 lecturers, 3 Masters.


Product Design Methodology, Ergonomics, Materials and Technology constitute the professional discipline system. Its core courses include Design Basis, Design History, Mechanical Drawing, Ergonomics, Design Expression, Model Production, Emotional Engineering, Materials and Processing Technology, Industrial Design and Engineering Basis, System Design, Interactive Design, and Graduation Design, etc. According to professional direction, the main practice teaching procedure links closely the professional core courses and practice teaching, which include the product planning and design, model making and completion of product design report. Professional practice teaching is mainly carried out in our academy laboratory, product design companies, scientific research institutions and related manufacturing enterprises.

 

 

 

Introduction to Musicology


Our school's major in musicology was established in 2005, and now has majors in vocal music, piano, folk instrumental music, and computer music production. Musicology major is dedicated to the talent training model of "professional teaching, artistic performance, and social practice". Relying on the school's advantages in foreign language teaching and international schooling, it strives to promote the integration of majors and foreign languages, and comprehensively cultivate a multi-disciplinary and multi-functional applied music talent.


The music academic major has a relatively high academic leader, strong faculty and a well-structured academic echelon. There are 12 full-time teachers (3 Associate Professors, 8 Lecturers, 1 Teaching Assistant; 2 Doctors, 2 Doctoral Candidates, 8 Masters), and about 5 part-time teachers.


The music major of our school is jointly run by "music + foreign language" (music combined with foreign language teaching mode) and "2 + 2" (that is, students studying at Dalian University of Foreign Languages in the first and second grades; studying at foreign universities in the third and fourth grades, The two sides mutually recognize the credits, and the students who meet the undergraduate study requirements of the two universities will obtain a combination of diplomas and bachelor's degree certificates from two universities at home and abroad). We continue expanding international channels for running schools. We have already established inter-school communication relationship with a few foreign schools.


Our school's major in musicology has taken advantage of the excellent platforms of Confucius Institutes established by our university abroad, and has been repeatedly appointed by the Ministry of Education's Center for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language. We visited to Korean, Japan, Russia, Republic of Belarus, UAE, Turkey, Columbia, Peru, Brazil, Thailand, Guyana, Panama and other countries touring, and was warmly welcomed and praised.

 

 

 

Introduction to Graduate Department


In 2014, our institute was approved to grant the Master of Fine Arts degree, and the Master of Fine Arts (MFA) postgraduate education was officially settled in International Academy of Art of Dalian University of Foreign Languages. In September 2015, the first batch of Art Postgraduate was welcomed, covering two major fields of art and art design, including oil painting, sculpture, visual communication design, environmental art design, clothing and costume design, and products design. Our institute now has 15 postgraduate tutors and 27 graduate students. The "MFA Graduate Personalized Training Teaching Practice Center Construction" project completed in 2018 solves the hardware requirements of Art Postgraduate Teaching and scientific research practice, and the graduate creative studio with complete equipment and functions provides a reliable guarantee for cultivating high-level art creation and art design application-oriented talents. In the five-year teaching exploration process, all teachers and students of our academy have worked hand in hand and devoted themselves to research, and achieved a win-win situation of professional skills and internal quality in the creation practice. The works of teachers and students have emerged in the professional competitions at home and abroad for many times, and the quantity and quality of scientific research achievements have increased year by year. The mid-term teaching exhibition and graduation exhibition have more comprehensively displayed the teaching achievements of our school's master of art.


With the growing scale of art master's teaching, we are confident to expand our thinking in graduate teaching and find the space and direction for sustainable improvement, so as to promote the gradual improvement and development of the graduate education system of art master's degree in our university.
